Designing a Home Funeral
The death of a loved one is often a difficult and confusing time, made more so by the myriad decisions that need to be made quickly. For some people, a traditional funeral home is the right option – it provides the comfort of the familiar, and decision-making is relatively straightforward. For others, however, something more personal, closer to home, would be more authentic.
What is a Home Funeral?
Simply put, a home funeral is a family-led funeral. The family can do as much or as little as they wish, including body care and shrouding, vigils, creating a meaningful at-home ceremony, body transportation, lodging paperwork, and arranging cremation or burial.
